In the 1940’s southern living homes enjoyed a rebirth. The homes that survived the civil ware were now being revisited. They were remodeled with funds generated from the robust economy of the 1940’s. These grand homes were now finding themselves back in the lime light. They were hosting parties and raising families again.

Southern homes often have beautiful gabled or hipped roofs. Many homes have grand pillars modeled after famous Greek monuments. Fabulous elliptical staircases are found in the central entryway of these homes. Large, expansive porches add square footage making indoor outdoor living possible.
